Nutrition is drastically different from a diet! A diet is a restriction of food for a period of time either short or long that will have an end. Nutrition consists of the foods that you eat on a daily basis over a long period of time. These foods provide you with energy for your daily activities, your workout(s), and control your metabolism and weight fluctuations. We view nutrition in 24 hr cycles while still keeping view of the big picture, which is long term progress. A proper nutrition program should provide a sustainable method of eating to build a comfortable lifestyle while still allowing an individual to get results! A proper nutrition program should allow for both better long term overall health and goal achievement. With a proper nutrition program you can lose weight, maintain weight, reduce body fat, gain muscle mass, or just gain weight. The beauty of these individual programs is that they are molded and shaped specifically for your goals.
