Diego started his career in athletics early on in life. Born in Bogotá, Colombia, he grew up playing tennis and running. In high school, he played several sports including soccer, baseball, and track. While playing college baseball in Connecticut at the University of Bridgeport he found CrossFit after an injury on his right shoulder. CrossFit brought him to a completely new level of fitness and helped him recover to finish his collegiate athletic career at St. Andrews University in North Carolina. After his baseball days were over, he decided to take his Level 1 CrossFit Trainers Cert in 2012 and get fully involved with the CrossFit community. Coaching is a big passion of his because he gets to help others find the joy of improving their lives through fitness. His favorite thing about CrossFit is the competitive atmosphere and the awesome community. He also enjoys seeing people develop new skills and help motivate them to reach their fitness potential.
In 2017 Diego elevated his CrossFit skill level by achieving the Level 2 CrossFit Trainers Certification.
