Coming from a competitive sport like gymnastics, Rachel wanted to find a new competitive outlet. In 2007, she stumbled onto CrossFit and became a coach and athlete of the sport. She competed as an individual in the 2009 CrossFit games, in 2010 and 2011 regionals as an individual, and in 2012 and 2013 regionals as a team member. During this time, she fell in love with Olympic Weightlifting, and since then, she has competed and won in many local competitions and qualified and competed at many national events.
In 2015, she broke the World and Pan American record in the Snatch in the Masters 58kg category. She is the current Masters record holder in 3 weight classes in the state of Florida for Snatch, Clean & Jerk and Total.
Rachel believes that if you have a body, you are an athlete. She love to see the look on someone’s face as they do something they thought was once impossible. She lives for this stuff!
